There are some situations where a skilled Ugandan worker may
be sponsored by an Australian employer to fill a vacancy in his
organisation. In this case, one would qualify for an Employer
Nomination visa.
This visa programme is divided into four categories ie. Employer
Nomination Scheme(ENS), Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme(RSMS),
LabourAgreements, Invest Australia Support Skills(IASS)Employer
Nomination.
In order to qualify for this programme, the Nominee (applicant)
should have the skills relevant to the nominated position. He
should also meet the defination of "Highly Skilled Person"
(completed 3 years of formal training or equivalent relevant experience
and completed 3 years of relevant work experience after their
formal training).
The nominee should also be less than 45 years (exceptions apply),
should have vocational English Language abilty, he and all family
unit members should meet mandatory health and character requirements
and he should be able to satisfy any mandatory licensing, registration,
or proffessional membership requirements. In certain cases where
some positions may be so unusual or specialised, some of the conditions
may be waived.
