People who have skills and experience in certain special areas
such as Information Technology, Pharmacy, Nursing, midwives,chefs
and hair dressers stand a chance of being granted Australian skilled
workers visas.
Applicants for the skilled workers visa should be of appropriate
age and have good command of the English language. The system
is a points based system where points are accumulated depending
on how one scores in the relevant areas such as age, working experience,
job skills and employment record.
Persons of outstanding talent such as sportsmen and artists also
have a chance of being granted their respective skilled workers
visas.
