Employment based

The employment based visa immigrants include people of extraordinary skills who intend to continue their professions in the United States as well as investors who intend to reate employment in the US. This category is divided into the following groups in order of preference.

Priority workers who include persons of extraordinary ability in the sciences, arts, education, business, or athletics with proof of extraordinary achievement and international recognition. Internationall recognised Professors and Researchers who have at least three years relevant work experience also qualify.

Professionals Holding Advanced Degrees, or Persons of Exceptional Ability in the Arts, Sciences, or Business can also gain immigrant visas. They must have a labour certification approved by the US Department of Labour and should have a job offer in the US.

The next category includes certain overseas employees of the US government, Retired employees of international organisations and certain dependants of international organisation employees.

Investors who are going to create employment of at least 10 full-time jobs for US citizens rounds up this category. They should invest between U.S. $500,000 and $1,000,000 depending on the geographical area.
