Unlimited
Immigrants
US visa immigrants are divided into two broad categories based
on whether there are numerical limitations that apply to the respective
category.
Unlimited
Immigrants are those on whom no annual numerical limitation is
imposed. People who qualify for this category therefore can get
immigration status anytime unlike those under the Limited Immigrants
category where surplus applications that occur in the event that
the annual quota has been reached are differed to the next year.
People
who fall under the Unlimited immigrants visa category include
Immediate Relatives of a United States citizen who is 21
years or older. This means Parents, minor unmarried children,
spouse, widow(er) of the United States citizen who is 21 and above
qualify for this category.
The
second group that qualifies for the Unlimited category is Returning
Residents which refers to all previous lawful U.S Permanent residents
who are returning to the U.S after a period of one year or more
stay abroad.
