In
situations where a visa applicant doesn't have sufficient funds
to cover expenses for the duration of his trip, an interested
party (a sponsor) can offer to undertake the financial obligations
on the applicants behalf.
The
sponsor will be expected to submit information about their own
immigration status in the country and a detailed letter explaining
their relationship to the applicant.
For
cases where the trip is for Business, the sponsor should submit
a letter from the company explaining the relationship between
your two companies and clearly indicate whether your company will
be covering the expenses for the trip. If this is the case, it
might also be helpful to show evidence of accommodation arrangements
for the applicant.
Where
the applicant may be intending to attend a special family occasion
such as a wedding, party, anniversary etc., the sponsor should
provide a letter of sponsorship clearly explaining your relationship,
location and date of the occasion.
Sponsors
should know that in case you are undertaking financial responsibility
for the applicant, the consulate will need information of your
financial stand such as your occupation and salary, copies of
your last six months bank statements and salary slips, and how
you intend to accommodate the person.
