Students
carrying Students visas are not expected to engage in full time
work. For those however who are enrolled in full time courses,
they are allowed up to 20 hours of part time work per week.
With
the exception of students who have been granted a teaching or
research assistantship by their respective colleges, you should
not count on income from your part time work to pay your course
expenses since these jobs typically do not pay much. Full time
students are allowed up to 20 hours of part time campus work and
full time work during vacations.
When
assessing your income, the visa personell will not take into account
prospective income expected to be derived from part time work.
The only exception is if your college has guranteed you employment
and you should have full documentary evidence to back this up.
